My little dog – a heartbeat at my feet ~ Edith Wharton
This quote is so beautiful and I didn’t know it’s true meaning until we got our new best friend. He has been with us only five days and yet he has managed to climb inside all our hearts. We love him.
My husband, son and I had such a lovely walk today, that’s when I snapped this corn.
As we walked along, my husband was telling our son that when he was a child he used to go to his Grandad’s farm during the summer holidays and harvest the corn. He remembers being on the combine harvester as it chopped off the corn heads, covering them in a fine dust as they worked the fields. What a wonderful memory to have, don’t you think? A little Enid Blyton, eh?
My friend’s new kitty…isn’t he gorgeous. I did consider sneaking him out in my bag, but thought he might be missed ; )
Just loved the patterns and reflections as I was washing up this evening!
Summer has at last arrived, a little later than expected, but I won’t worry about that small detail now. I will enjoy what it has to offer, peaches and all!
Wising you a Happy Summer xx
The clouds hung heavy all day, watching me from afar, as I kept an eye on them. They won the battle as the drier whirred.
Have a great weekend xx
We await summer’s arrival, but Mother Nature pays no heed, as far as she is concerned it is June and despite the unseasonable weather the flowers still bloom and the bees still buzz.
Wishing you a good weekend xx
Deep joy for the good weather
No more hum of the dryer
Line dried and smelling of fresh air.
Happy Friday and have great weekend xx
Not much use for this little fella at the moment.
Remembering those balmy seventies summers…hosepipe bans and all!
A very mundane item to photograph I know, but I was just struck by the lovely shadows cast between the rain showers today.
Wishing you a happy Friday xx
I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers.
