Nutcrackers on Parade

I had the good fortune to be invited on a Christmas market river cruise by a good friend.  These nutcrackers at the market in Passau, Germany enchanted me.  Wishing each of you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

A rare selfie.  I participate in the 52 Photos Project each week, and last week’s theme was {me in the mirror}.  For once I was pleased with the result!

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

Summer bounty

It’s summer, which means it’s time to cook on the grill.  Most of these veggies were grilled to perfection.  The sweet potatoes were roasted in the oven and the peach was added to a delectable sangria.  Ah summer, how I love you so!
