Schoodic Lake

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

~Henry David Thoreau

  1. I love how the muted tones still create such a strong images and the texture you feel from the layers and clouds, beautiful.

    1. Thank you so much! I originally shot it in color and have trouble deciding which I like better. The tones are muted in both, it was really beautiful that morning.

  2. Love the way that many of your black and white shots are full of subtle, soft tones of grey. It makes a nice change from the usual high contrast black and white and lends the image an ethereal, gentle quality. Lovely.

    1. Gilly, I find that the more tonal shots are my favorites as well. They are somehow more atmospheric, aren’t they? I’m so glad you are enjoying them! x
