Looking at You-0847b

Looking away, looking at mobile phones, looking at you {looking at me}

I took this at Blackfriars Station while waiting to get a train back home.

On returning, I found a very poorly Mr E-D who was subsequently whisked into hospital as an emergency, diagnosed with diabetes. All being well he should be discharged tomorrow (Thursday).

Managing (just about) to view everyone’s beautiful black and white new photo posts, I’ll be catching up with comments as soon as I can.

In the meantime, please welcome Angela, the first Kiwi to be adding variety and spice to The Monochrome Muse. Take at look at her gorgeous ingredients photo … mmm, mmm, there are recipes galore on her website thesweetexplorer.com

  1. Oh Ellie, I am sorry to read that your husband has been having a difficult time with diabetes. Fingers are crossed that he will be returning home tomorrow; there is nothing like being in our own home for lifting our spirits and quickening healing. Sending you love! xx

    1. Thanks for your love and condolences, Grace. You’re right about being in your own home when recovering from illness, it’s always the best place to be. He’s recovering well and the ‘Hospital at Home’ team will be visiting regularly to begin with. xx

  2. Oh no Ellie, I am so sorry to hear about your husband and wish him well. Like Grace says, once he is home he will feel better. Great image, did they know you were snapping?? J xx

    1. Thanks Jane, it all started with an insect bite on the bottom of his foot last Friday that turned really, really nasty. Without that little critter taking a like to him, we would not have known about the Diabetes and things could have been even worse! Yep, the two ladies either side of the middle chap spotted me clicking away as I’d been pacing the platform opposite them, playing around with the camera. The four of them sitting caught my eye and it took a couple of attempts to get it right – you can tell the lady on the left of frame especially is about to get a bit twitchy!! Ellie xx

  3. Terrific photo Ellie, Glad to hear hubby is on the mend! Funny I’ve been wondering if all was well with you as you haven’t been around a while – should have followed my instinct and messaged you! Take care yourself.

    1. Thanks Jane 🙂 I can go AWOL now and again! Sometimes I get the call to work office bound in the City. On such occasions I don’t get much time for more pleasurable pastimes with a computer!! Hope all is well with you and yours, will be catching up on visiting and commenting on blogs as and when I can. 🙂
