Raindrops on Roses

Black & White Photography, Ellie-Dee

White Rose

Today dawned grey, wet and a little windy; quite good conditions, I read somewhere, for flower photography. Very little or no wind would be ideal but to capture raindrops (in between showers on this occasion) just a little patience with shutter button half depressed, resulted in reasonable sharpness.

Taken in monochrome, then both black and white clipping tweaked very slightly in Lightroom.

    1. Now I’m on the lookout for some Bright Copper Kettles and Warm Woolen Mittens to photograph! :-0 Really pleased you like this.
Oh no! What’s happened? You’ve turned into the anonymous gravatar symbol, where’s your lovely photo gone?

    1. Thank you, Katie, I was pleased with the way it turned out, I’ve been waiting for a while now to capture this rose with rain drops on its petals. Once the buds break open the blooms are over and done with in just three or four days, so it’s easy to miss out on the opportunity.
